What is Mechanical Jacquard?

The jacquard machine refers to the shedding machine during the process of completing the five major movements of the loom. The jacquard shedding machine is controlled by the heald yarn, which can realize each warp yarns independently move up and down, and is used for weaving complex large pattern weave fabrics. The jacquard shedding machine is composed of two parts: the lifting actuator and the lifting control mechanism. The lifting actuator is composed of the lifting knife, the tool holder, the transmission hook, and then controls the lifting of the warp to form the required shed through the heddle connected to the hook, and the lifting control mechanism is used to control the order of warp lifting, mainly in two ways: mechanical and electronic.

The mechanical jacquard is a single-action top-shedding jacquard machine. It selects the carabiner by the flower tube, pattern and jacquard needle, etc., and then controls the lifting order of the warp. A large number of pattern parameters are saved in the pattern file. The data "0" and "1" represent the lifting and non-lifting of the warp respectively. "Holes" and "Non-holes" on the pattern represent the data "0" and "1" in the pattern file respectively. Finally, the mechanical jacquard determines whether the warp is lifted or not according to whether there are holes in the corresponding position of the pattern, and weaves the jacquard fabric with the corresponding pattern. The mechanical jacquard machine has advantages like simple structure, low cost and convenient maintenance.
