The main categories of the uses of rolling mills are as follows:
Shearing mills: Used for the initial rolling of steel billets, including initial mills, slab mills, and billet mills.
Section steel mills: Produce various types of sections, such as rails, beams, large, medium, and small sections, as well as wire rods.
Plate and strip mills: Include medium-thick plate mills, thin plate mills, and tropical steel mills, used for producing plates and strips.
Steel tube mills: Specifically used for rolling steel tubes.
Special mills: Such as cross mills, hub mills, and special wire rod mills (such as spring square wire mills, coiled spring continuous rolling production lines), used for processing specific products.
Cold-rolled steel plate mills: Include cold-rolled steel plates, cold-rolled strips, and foil mills, used for the cold rolling process. Some of these rolling machines are also applied in the field of new energy, such as roll pressing of lithium battery electrode sheets, and drawing and stretching of enameled flat wires, etc.
Special rolling machines are mainly used for processing specific products, and they include the following types:
Horizontal rolling machine: used for horizontal rolling, such as processing of special-shaped parts like wheels and gears.
Hub rolling machine: specifically used for rolling automotive hubs.
Special-shaped wire rod rolling machine: including spring square wire rolling machine, coiled spring continuous rolling production line, valve spring special-shaped steel wire rolling machine, etc.
Four-roll rolling machine series: such as roller-type four-roll flat steel rolling machine, multi-functional four-roll rolling machine, etc.
New energy-specific rolling machines: such as lithium battery electrode sheet rolling equipment, enameled flat wire die forging and stretching integrated machine, etc.
Multi-purpose rolling machines: such as HC rolling machine (controlling roll profile curvature), eight-roll rolling machine (used for difficult-to-deform materials), etc.
Planetary rolling machine: used for high compression ratio hot rolling, with a reduction rate of up to 90%-95%. Some special rolling machines are also used in high-precision fields, such as the six-roll rolling machine for copper strips used in submarine cables.
