The Working Process Of The Cold Rolling Machine

3-1-cold rolling mill

The working process of the cold rolling machine can be divided into the following three stages, each of which includes key operations and technical points:
1. Loading and threading stage
Steel coil transportation: The steel coil is sent to the floating unwinding machine drum by the loading trolley to ensure that the steel strip is always in the center position of the rolling machine.
Pre-treatment: The steel strip is straightened by the straightening machine, and some rolling machines are equipped with hydraulic shears for head cutting.
Thread feeding operation: The steel strip is sent into the rolling machine through the guide plate table, and the jaws of the rear coiler clamp the leading end and wind it 2-3 times before stopping the feeding of the strip.
2. Reversible rolling stage
Equipment preparation: Install the working rolls, align the rolling line, start the lubrication and cooling system, and apply the pre-tension.
Rolling process:
After the initial pass rolling is started, the thickness gauge and speed meter monitor the thickness and speed in real time, and dynamically adjust the rolling parameters.
Use high tension rolling, and may change the rolling direction multiple times to improve processing accuracy.
Defect handling: If edge defects are found in the steel strip, the system automatically slows down or stops the rolling.
3. Unloading and rewinding stage
Finished product roll taking: The rear roll taking machine rolls up the rolled steel strip and performs edge trimming and flattening processing.
Unloading and storage: The steel coil is smoothly unloaded through the unloading device, and some need to be re-straightened or cut before being stored.
Technical principle supplement
Rolling core: By applying pressure through the rotating in reverse direction rolls, the metal undergoes plastic deformation at room temperature.
Auxiliary systems: Lubrication reduces friction, cooling liquid controls temperature, and the straightening device ensures flatness. Modern cold rolling machines have achieved intelligent control, such as fully automatic thickness adjustment and unmanned operation.
